C-176 riduce fortemente l'attività del reporter IFNβ mediata da STING, ma non quella mediata da RIG-I o TBK1. Si lega direttamente a STING di topo (mmSTING) ma non a STING umana (hsSTING).
In vivo

C-176 attenua la malattia autoinfiammatoria associata a STING nei topi.
