Attività biologica

Descrizione Fenofibrate è un composto della classe dei fibrati e un derivato dell'acido fibrico. Questo composto è un agonista selettivo di PPARα con EC50 di 30 μM. Si lega e inibisce la cytochrome P450 epoxygenase (CYP)2C con IC50 di 0,2 μM, 0,7 μM e 9,7 μM per CYP2C19, CYP2B6 e CYP2C9, rispettivamente. Questa sostanza chimica induce l'autophagy.
